DP-1 Mulching Plate use and installation instructions. Important Must Read !!!

The DP-1 mulching plate was designed to be installed into the discharge opening on Scag Advantage mower decks 36" through 72". On walk behind mowers with deck sizes 36", 48" and 52" and riding mowers with deck sizes 48" & 52". The DP-1 can be installed in conjunction with, or without, the Scag Turbo baffle. (note: better mulching results might be obtained using the DP-1 in conjunction with the Scag Turbo baffle) When installed on 61" walk behinds and 61" or 72" riders the mower decks must be equipped with the Scag Turbo baffle. Attach the DP-1 by drilling the deck and/or baffle to match up with four of the holes in the DP-1. Use the two front holes and two of the three rear holes. Attach using the four bolts and lock nuts provided. Insert the bolts from under the deck with the lock nuts on the outside. BEFORE OPERATING MOWER MAKE CERTAIN THAT NO PART OF THE INSTALLATION INTERFERES WITH THE ROTATING BLADES.
