ST-1 Backpack Blower Rack Installation Instructions

Select a mounting location which will not interfere with the pulling vehicle or equipment on the trailer. Also be certain that any blower which will be hung on the rack does not exceed the width of the widest part of the trailer.

IT IS THE USERS SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSURE THAT THE BLOWER RACK IS INSTALLED SAFELY AND SECURELY TO A COMPONENT THAT WILL ADEQUATELY SUPPORT THE RACK AND BLOWER UNDER ALL CONDITIONS.

Check mounting hardware daily. Blower tube must be removed or secured before transport. NOTE: A four inch PVC pipe coupler (available at any home store) attached to the trailer rail next to the ST-1 works well for this purpose.. The rack must be attached at two points along the upright at least 12 inches apart using the bolts and lock nuts provided or the equivalent. When drilling the one inch square tube be absolutely certain that the holes are centered in the tube. Install the blower by placing the bottom of the blower onto the two vertical uprights which are located about 2/3rds of the way down the tube. There are recesses in the bottom the plastic frame which will slide on over the uprights. Next, pivot the top of the blower forward until the hole at the top of the blower frame aligns with the vertical stud (hang pin) extending from the rack Slide blower all the way onto the hang pin and install the retaining pin with de-dent ball into the vertical hole in the hang pin. Use the cable and sleeves supplied to make a lanyard for the retaining pin by attaching one end to the ring on the retaining pin and the other end to the rack. You can use pliers or a hammer to crimp the alm. sleeves. A padlock can be installed into the horizontal hole at the end of the hang pin.
